Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have a car on HP finance in the UK. With 4 years still to go on the payments.
I have been offered a job in Southern Ireland and i would like to take my car with me. But continue to make the payments from my UK bank account.
Will i be able to do this ?.
I have tried to contact the finance company avbout this but i have had no reply from them !!
So i was wondering if any of you can help me with some info on this.
I know my "contract" has wordings in that I can't leave the UK with the car unless it is under x amount of days (20 I think)
I would suspect if it was NI it would be ok as it's "part of the UK" (I hope I don't start a debate/insult here)
SI I'm unsure but someone might have the answer here.
As long as they had your current address (for SI) and the relevant proof/new job documents.. I couldnt see it being a problem
