    Default halifax credit card!!!

Hi,im new to all of this...Basically i was asked in Halifaxicon to apply for a credit card, told them i didnt work, only had child benefit going into my acc,the woman advised me to take out PPI or i prob wont be accepted so i did.I got in trouble with it a couple of years later and had been paying ppi all the time,i was told because i dont work then the insurance money will not be paid so i asked them if they can stop the int,was told no,i asked if i could pay a small amount each and was told no again as it would be coming out of my child benefit.I phoned them many times and got the same answers.Didnt owe a huge amount at the time but by the time it went to debt collectorsicon it was nearly £3000 and im still paying it now.Is there anyone that could give me some advise if theres anything i can do

sounds like you are on to a winner here.
i would be inclined to SARicon them, and specifically ask for a copy of your agreement and the relevent PPIicon info.

you will hopefully find a clause which reads that you are actually not intitled to any claims because you do not work [sic].
even so, you should be able to get them on the 'must have ppi' quote.

follow the faq/step by step instructions, and hit them for all the default charges & the PPI payments + 8% int.

If you mean some kind of retaliatory action on the part of the Bank, then I should hope not! IF you find that they do, then write to them again informing them that retaliatory action is something that the FSA takes action against.
