    Default Pcn

I got some old pcnicon that are already with the debt agency. If I decide to pay the council direct the original sum, does the council have to take my cheque or can they refuse and tell me to pay the debt collectoricon?
    Thanks for your answers.

Can you explain that please? My concern is when I keep paying the debt agency back then they get their fees first and then the original amount. If I question the fees then its more difficult for me I think. Rather they chasing me up for their fees (If I pay the council directly).

you say the debt is with a debt agency, you also say the debt is old.
IS it with a debt agency [DCAicon] or with bailiffsicon?

if it is with a debt agency, you need to know if they have brought the dent outright [as it is 'old' it could be so] or id the DCA are acting on behalf of the council in collecting the debt.
if it is the latter , then pay the council direct.
if it is the former, then, no you cannot pay the council as the DCA has brought it as it is an old debt.

however, DCA's dont add charges [sic] so are these bailifficon charges?

It's bailifficon charges. I did send a cheque to the council directly.
What about prove of the bailiff charges? (visits, letters)
