Hi,
What happens if I want to investigate my PPI payments on my credit cards and loans that i had with Llloyds TSB which have finished in the last 6 years, but for which i no longer have agreement or account numbers. I have closed my current account with Lloyds TSB so I only have the current account number and sort code and nothing else. I wrote to Lloyds asking for info and they said they are unable to provide as I do not have agreement and credit card numbers, even though I paid everything out of my current account, which I quote to them.
Thanks
welcome to the PPI forum. There are many issues surrounding PPI but there are a lot of people on the PPI forum who will be able to offer advice in some way.
Hi,
What happens if I want to investigate my PPI payments on my credit cards and loans that i had with Llloyds TSB which have finished in the last 6 years, (can you give a date when the credit card accounts were closed ie last transaction on them? The timings are important so please give the dates before sending you SAR) but for which i no longer have agreement or account numbers. I have closed my current account with Lloyds TSB so I only have the current account number and sort code and nothing else. I wrote to Lloyds asking for info and they said they are unable to provide as I do not have agreement and credit card numbers, even though I paid everything out of my current account, which I quote to them.
Thanks
My advice would be to firstly read through the stickies at the top of the forum and some of the threads. This will let you get a general feel for the PPI forum.
To obtain details on your Credit cards and PPI you can send a Subject access request with a Statutory fee of £10.00. You can ask for all data that is relevant to you as a data subject. It is best to spell out exactly what information you require (full information on your accounts credit cards etc) and ask for everything in whatever format. Electronic, Paper, Tape recordings, etc. This is a link to a SAR template produced by hellhasnofury.....Full S.A.R - (Subject access request) for ppi
Lloyds TSB will then have 40 days to provide all the information you ask for. Failure to comlply gives you the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office and/or start Court proceedings. (if you go the Court route you will need advice from others on the forum as my option was ICO and fos first).
The credit card was cleared approximately August 06, there were three loans cleared in 2004
I would send a S.A.R - (Subject access request) requesting data on all four loans. (They may well come back and ask you for account numbers in which case I would tell them you require the data that applies to you as a subject and customer and that the data should include all accounts held by you as a data subject). Send the SAR at least recorded delivery to be signed for and keep a track on the royal mail website to ensure delivery. Also keep an eye for encashment of your £10.00 fee by cheque or keep a record of the Postal order if you use that to pay.
It is best to keep copies of everything you send and itemise them or keep them in chronological order as it will help when you have to submit paperwork to the fos or Court.
