Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
(sorry have not posted for a little while) been rather hectic lately lol......
Anyway, this is just a question about an Unfair rebate/Settlement.
My loan was taken out with Endeavour in July 2004 (arranged by brokers Click Finance) now dissolved.
Anyway this was a loan taken for over 25 years but we settled this then in Oct/Nov 2005, almost 24 years earlier, we felt the rebate was not that good considering. This was also mis sold by the brokers but as they have dissolved in 2006 not even the liquidator can help neither the FSCS due to them not being covered etc.
Now the fos are unable to deal with this on the "mis selling" side of it as it was not under jurisdiction.
But I am now trying this under the FOS for an "unfair rebate settlement".
I have however, made contact to the FOS to ask if they would be able to look at this, who wrote back and enclosed a form, with reg number and they also added the reason for me, and stated on their reply letter that they may be able to look at this complaint.
(because then Endeavour were regulated as from Jan 2005), I just thought it may be worth trying for, so wondered if anyone else has been in this position, under that rebate category?
I don't want this thrown back at me again after them informing me that they "may" be able to look at this.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this please folks, thanks so much.
