Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I am new to this site and found out about reclaiming bank charges for the last six years from The Motley Fool website. My friend has just received a letter back from her bank stating that as a goodwill gesture they will refund her £150.00, but the total costs come to nearly £2000.00. Is this correct what they are willing to repay her?
no, that is a letter so as not to pay out. Usual conditions are "Full and final settlement" and "future charges will stand" etc, etc, etc, Have a look at the threads and the survey results. When I first joined the amount claimed in total was under £1million, now it is rising rapidly over the £1million mark
Have a good read of the FAQs and template letters, then read up on the threads in the forum for your bank BEFORE doing anything else. If there's a risk of the account being closed or access denied then open a parachute account.
Start a thread in the forum for your bank and you'll get all the advice and guidance that you need... and more!
