Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
It looks like there was lots of fun on the other thread. I sniffed one out the other day, not that it was very hard with all the clipping and clopping.
Do you think that their chubby little stumps start to ache with all the logging out then back in again to answer their own questions?
i'm not entirely sure who was actually a troll? presumably you lot know better than me.
I think the opening post seemed entirely reasonable but he got slated from the word go.
i think maybe it's important to remember that most of the ppcs we fight operate on large carparks - retail, macdonalds, etc.
This, for those who haven't seen the pics in the clamping thread that spurned the discussion, is a small back car park to a couple of businesses and is little more than a yard.
To be honest, despite offering some constructive advice to the victim a few minutes ago, I have to say that I would never of had the cheek to park there in the first place. It was so clearly a private area.
This was, unless I've really been fooled by a troll, a small businessman looking for a solution. He clearly stated he didn't like the action of the clampers who had been engaged by a neighbouring business - then evryone gets carried away.
It is just such businesspeople, willing to investigate alternatives, that we should be encouraging - not slating and insulting.
Ok his alternative ideas were pretty poor and the reluctance to install barriers of any kind because of the expense not really valid. As far as I am concerned, if you run a business then you use a site which is fit for purpose: If it isn't then you pay to adapt it and also possibly adjust your procedures - or you move. It's not rocket science.
How many pubs are bemoaning the loss of smoking customers who made no effort or inadequate effort to provide realistic facilities?
Overall though, whatever the goings on at another website he chooses to use I think he was badly treated when asking an honest question.
