Thread: Static caravan insurance ripoff

I would ask for a full Breakdown to justify this additional administration, I don't think that they are allowed to do this as I suspect that it is a penalty charge.

If they come back with a breakdown, post it up here and let us look at it

Whilst in principal I agree with Lula but I must sound a note of caution. Most caravan sites have routes to evict their tenants and cause them more hell than you can imagine. Fighting such behaviour can lead to an expensive, long & tiresome court battle.

If it's £30, I personally, in this case would pay it and be done with it.

I am normally not like this and recommend fighting almost everything, but this is one occasion when that could be problematic.

does it state in the site terms and conditions that the fee is payable? if not, they LP's advice is sound, but I would gently talk to the site owners and see if they cannot come to some compromise, I have to say that, if you are happy with the site then for the want of £30, the hassle of moving isnt worth it.
