Hi
on 30/09/05, I purchased a one year old second hand car from a massive dealership. That dealership has since been taken over by another massive dealership who have taken on responsibility for the previous company. Problem is that the car was sold as a UK model which just last week, whilst speaking to the manufacturer about something else, I discovered was imported from Cyprus when new. I have the sales documentation from the dealer that says it is not imported and have reported the matter to Trading Standards. They have told me what I am entitled to, but now seem to be dragging their feet. I may be wrong about this and things may be happening in the background but I would value any useful pertinent advice. Especially from someone who has been there already.
So it is not a uk spec. car.
In what way was it sold to you as a UK spec. car; in advert or by salesperson etc. before you purchased it. Why have they said in the actual sales document that it was not imported, did you ask them. Please clarify. Have you got the V5, when was it registered in the UK against its year of manufacture?
Is there anything wrong with the car other than this.
Was the price cheaper than a compable UK car.
Did you purchase it with HP.
Sorry fir all the questions but these details are usefull to give you the best advice.
