Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I purchased a TV just over 3 and a half years a go it was a 50 inch Sony which i paid £2799 for plus 5 year warrenty bringing the total cost to £3400.00. This became faulty just after having it a year going back to the workshop 4 time in total. Curry's re-inbursed me with vouchers totaling £2600 to buy another TV with leaving me £800.00 out of pocket, i can understand that for wear and tear and the TV's coming down in price.
But the story is i purchased a Tosheba LSD Digital TV because the sales person said the LSD's would last me 15 years. Guess what the screed went on the Tosheba i Purchased this on the 30-10-2006 and they cant get the parts for this TV so they've sent me more vouchers £789.99 for the TV and £344.25 for the cover plan.
I did phone up and spoke to someone at Coverplan saying i was disatified with the amount i was given, and he just fobbed ne of about there rules and regulations.
Can anybody give me any advice on what to do with this.
I am not an expert in law, finance or any related field, I just read a lot. Any advice is based solely on what I've read so please don't take it as gospel without checking it out yourself.
I prefer not to give advice by PM. If you want me to look at something, send me a link to your thread, and if I can help I'll reply on there.

Since it was 3.5 years ago, I presue it is a coverplan agreement?
The terms of the condition indicate that you will get back the value of the model or an equivalent specification at todays prices.
I'd advise popping into the store and seeing what equivalent model the agreement is willing to pay for. If the model is impossible for that store to get their hands on then any experienced sales/customer service staff can ring Coverplan and increase the voucher value to stretch to possibly a better model if it's available in the store's local depot.
