Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My friend at work has just had their car taken because it was not taxed.
They have been told they have a standard 14 days to pay charges at the recovery company to get the car back but are struggling to get the money together.
It is an old car (I think M reg) and they are trying to find out if they leave the car beyond the 14 days, losing the car, would they still have to pay the charges due up to the end of the 14 days?
Would anybody know?
Cheers.
