Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Egg has been the 4th Lender to respond to my CCA request however not sure if there response is the usual or are they delaying as they don't have my agreement?
All my requests were sent on 20th August 08 which means even allowing for the bank holiday(kind of me!!) they default as of tomorrow (10th Sept 08.)
Egg however have respond with a letter in which they say:
"We acknowledge your CCA request however we want you to
re-submit your request with original ID such as utility bill, bank statement etc".
Surely as I have an account with them and sent a cheque (I know i should of sent a postal order but made a boo-boo in my haste) that should be sufficient?
Do I just send them what they require or send a letter back saying they have sufficient proof of who I am already and to stop P**sing around
and send me what I require.?
Any advice is greatly appreciated and thank in advance
Cheers Leedamians
P.S
Also any Moderators looking at this thread I will donate £25 for every card I have cleared or monies returned .
And as I have 16 creditors that I am looking at challenging there could be a nice amount(well not loads but as a famous supermarket says "Every little bit helps") coming CAG's way (Fingers crossed)
So far as I know, if they've been happy to write to you at the address on your correspondence there's no reason why they would need proof of ID to send a copy agreement. The time limits still stand by the way.
You can either send them what they want and point out that they're already in default or write a snotty letter back asking why they've been writing to you if they had any doubt about your identity. Make sure you don't send anything with your signature on.
