I pulled over to let my missus out of the car at a bus stop. She got out, car still running and I then moved away. They got me on camara.
The contravention says I was parked when I wasn't.
Can I appeal this or do I have to pay the basŁards.

Bit harsh chucking your wife out of a moving car, lol!! If you wasn't parked how did she get out of the car? It is a contravention to stop on a restricted bus stop unless you are a Tfl bus or an exempt vehicle.
I generally find a polite letter, either claiming as lamma said that it wasn't marked properly, or even simply ignorance can often do the trick. I have been let off lots of tickets by just sending an 'innocent' letter...
