Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
ive just applied for a mortgage and was shocked to be told i had a default showing. idid my credit check and none were present. So...i did another credit check with equifax and it show that i have 2 payments in arrears from 2006!
i know nothing about a defaul and certainly did not get any kind of warning or letter about it. i simply forgot to pay on time.
is there anything i can do to get this removed??!"
Have you since cleared the balance? Is the account actually showing as 'in default' or is it just a couple of late payments?
