hi ladies, sorry if this is long winded. I am a full time single parent and have a fair few debts from when i was working full time. I have 6 creditors in total, and in total i think i owe around £9,000. I contacted them all with a budget plan and proposal when i first stopped working (3 years ago), and they agreed the repayment i was offering. I offered to pay all of them £5 a month and one £10 a month. the problem is this made £40 a month in total and i really do find it a struggle with all my outgoings, i was having to borrow off family etc. Every 6months they contact me wanting more money from me and i have upped the amount on each one by £1, but i just cant pay it. I have now sent off new budget summaries and explained that i have to lower the repayments to £3 each a month and one £5 a month, that makes £20 in total. Although this amount is manageable, i know that in a few months i will be contacted by them all again asking for more money, telling me i have been paying them backs for years now etc etc, and its just getting too much. the amounts i am paying back are so tiny i will always be in debt. I cant go bankrupt as i am doing a book keeping and accounts course so would ruin my career. I was wondering if it was possible to write off any of them as i have been in debt with them for quite some time? any advice welcomed
