Thread: Interested in your experience of clamping/getting towed away by private companies

Firstly commiserations I can imagine it's a painful experience time and wallet wise.

If some of you who have gone through this could help with a bit of research I'd be grateful. My questions are:

1) To get released from a clamp what payment methods are offered? Cash only? Credit card?

2) To get your car returned, having been towed away, again what payment methods are offered? Cash only? Credit card?

3) When you've paid do you get a proper VAT receipt?

4) When you've been towed away do you go to the "pound" to collect your car (so you can find out where they "live"!) or do they always deliver?
