Called the bank and they said Barclaycard had taken £500 now i have nothing for a month and my mum hasnt been paid or anyone else! Ive to call them in the morning but i'm worried that i wont get it back ... or what if they do the same next month on pay day?? what can i do?

    Mandy,

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Well not this month.

It has already been ruled lawful that a bank can rape your current account to service a loan/cc account. (IMO absolute boll*cks)

I would try to open a parachute accounticon for next months salary.

I found the Natwesticon step account easy to open.

Hi JL and welcome to the BC forum.

The banks have the right to "set-off" bank a/c funds to pay towards another debt within their bank group in this manner.

Concentrate on getting your next salary pay't made to another a/c - if the salary is paid into the Barclaysicon a/c, BC will take more.

You should set about reclaiming all penalty charges on the BC a/c to reduce the overall debt which you owe them.

If you've suffered charges on your bank a/c, you can reclaim those too.

Have a read of Link No1 in my signatureicon below - there's a different process for bank a/c's and credit cards.
