Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I need some advice regarding an employment tribunal claim which I took against a former employer (the Company) and was awarded around £3,000, part of which was an uplift as they had previous record of similar.
The issue now is getting them to make payment - it seems the award means nothing.
I contacted the county court but their letter was ignored by my former employer.
They have left their previous premises (due to unpaid rent!) but I have a registered office for them (from companies house), but this is just a solicitors office.
However, searching the internet, I found they have also set up a new company, which has an address listed, but I am unaware if their previous company is still also officially trading or not.
By the way I now work for a proper company , but I dont want to lose out and mostly dont want these people to get away with this, it stinks
Please could you advise my options, if I have any.
Is it possible to transfer this judgement from company 1 to company 2, as it is blatantly obvious they are the same company, and also obvious they have done this to get out of paying me - their previous arguments had been that they had no money to pay me, to which the tribunal judge asked why then were they still trading if they could not fulfil their obligations.
If that is not possible, what options do I have, if any, against the previous company?
I am considering contacting their clients to just let them know the type of people they are dealing with and maybe the local press, but only as a last resort.
And maybe trying to poach their clients as I work in the same industry and had a great relationship with these clients when I was there - just maybe too much time elapsed for that.
I am at the stage where this whole process which is close to a year on from the initial issue, will never be resolved - which means I lost out, nearly a year of stress, they just sit there laughing, and there is nothing can be done??
Any ideas? I can provide further info. if required.

I am sorry that work means I don't get into the Employment Forum as often as I would like these days, but nonetheless I'll try to pop in when I can.
First things first check whether they are insolvent. You can find this on Companies house - it will have an L after the name if in Liquidation, an R if with the receivers
I'm presuming they are a limited company if you found them on Companies House?
If they have not actually liquidated the company officially they are still there to get the money out of ... even if they have set another company up. Unfortunately I don't think you can transfer from one company to the other as one of the points of being a limited company is the limited liability
PM me the name of the company if you want me to check them out for you
