Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
whilst taking my children home,on a main road,my car slowed down and came to an ebrupt stop,i tried restarting it over and over to no avail, noticing a taxi parked up i asked the driver if he would help me push the car off the main road which he did onto a little side street,he too tried to start it and warned me if i did it too much i could flood the engine or something so i put on the hazardlights, wrote a huge notice on the dashboard explaining i had broken down and had gone to the phone and went to phone my dad.on return i had been issued with a parking ticket,as it was a permit holder street,so i went straight down to the parking office and explained everything the woman said that i should have left someone with the vehicle whilst i went to the phone but there was me ,my one year old and my eight year old (who is epileptic)so i told her that was not an option she just tutted and said well fill in an appeal but it wont help as you were on permit parking.never the less i filled out the form explained everything and presumed that it would be withdrawn especially as they obviousley had photos of it with the hazards and sign and also the fact that the warden had only observed it there for 8 minutes, but today i have recieved a letter saying that they will not cancel it but if i send them a copy of the repair from the garage they will reconsider their decision.as i stated in the appeal to them i phoned my dad and he came out and jump started it so there was no garage involved,is there any way that i can take it any further, would i stand much hope of it being cancelled if i did.any help would be great as i only have 2 weeks to pay it now and as a single parent thats more than my shopping bill for two weeks i really cant afford to pay it and its worrying me sick.
just to note i have gone over and over the ticket and there are no printing/spelling/wording errors on it.
