Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just wondered if somebody could advise me on the following....
Yesterday I received a call off one of our drivers (I work in logistics) to say that he had felt bad an pulled up onto the services, on returning to the vehicle he had been clamped... stupidly his vehicle was overhanging on some double yellow lines.
We rang the number on the ticket, which turned out to be a call centre and had to fork out a grand total of £250
Is a warning supposed to be issued "before" the clamp goes on or am I barking up the wrong tree?!? Obviously thought I would ask the question as Im sure my gaffer would be chuffed if I could recoup some if not all of the £250 fine
