Thread: Help please ticket from Sheffield Based VEHICLE CONTROL SERVICES

Hi people

I've had an utterly annoying ticket for parking in "restricted area of a car park" from Vehicle Control Services in Bradford area.Having read many other threads and responses I gather that the actual circumstances, time, signage etc doesn't really matter that much so I won't bore with details...

Does anyone have any experience with these paracites? I've looked at the template letters, thanks for generously posting those for all to see. Before venturing into the unknown I just wonder if anyone has had previous experience with the Sheffield based organisation.

No personal expreience but they have been posted about a fair bit. Just another typical PPC.

You know the drill, either use the templates if you wish to fight back and record their misrepresentations or alternatively, if you just wish the issue to go away as quickly as possible - just ignore them completely and any letters from them and / or their "debt collection agencies"

Do they simply ask for details from DVLA if you don't respond or do they hunt you down?

The standard process is this They pay the DVLA 2.50 for the RKs details and then send rubbish letters that we all laugh at.You ignore them. The letters get more laughable and outrageous. You keep ignoring them. When they are fed up spending their own money in pursuit of their dream (someone who pays) with no indication from the RK that they are biting the PPC finally shuts up. At any stage during the above process you are empowered to start telling all your family, neighbours, friends and colleagues all about the PPC [problem] and how it should be handled. The enhanced process is very much the same only you also post up pictures of the invoice and the rubbish letters and we work out how many official complaints to send and to who based on how bad the rubbish they send is - and it will be bad. The PPC trick relies on breaking several statutes, the more rubbish their letters the more statutes they break.

Well, I did as you guys said, absolutely nothing.
Today a "Notice To Owner of intent to issue court proceedings"
Lovely use of yello and red ink throughout this document too.

At the bottom there is a tear off slip, on one side aParking Charge Payment Slip to be filled in card and bank details; on the other side a slip to complete if you were you not the owner/driver on the date in question. I trust you know the format that I'm talking about

Should I write my own letter using templates, or should I use their slip to correspond to them. Or doe sit actually really matter?

Many thanks for all of your previous input and advice, I was hoping to be posting my succes story next, but instead I need a little more reassurance and advice.

Just ignore them. As soon as they start sending fraudulent 'Notice to Owners' you know there's even less chance of going to court than usual.

In fact I don't recall any of the three or four cases a year ever involving fake council style notice to owners or charge certificates. They know they won't be going to court, so they got the whole hog and try to deceive you big style.

I can't see any disadvantages with not responding.

plaase post up picture of all the received rubbish, ahem, letters and notice - suitably washed of personal details. Lets have at them, sending that kind of paperwork cannot go 'unrewarded'
