Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hello all. I'm new on here and was wondering if anyone has made a claim against loan options for mis-selling PPI? And if so, what the outcome is. I have a friend who has just received a final response from them declining the claim and is about to write to fos. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Sorry you've not had a response yet. I know absolutely nothing about PPI unfortunately, but hopefully someone who does know will reply soon.
In the meantime, have you tried using the search facility to search for threads about this company?

I am not an expert in law, finance or any related field, I just read a lot. Any advice is based solely on what I've read so please don't take it as gospel without checking it out yourself.
I prefer not to give advice by PM. If you want me to look at something, send me a link to your thread, and if I can help I'll reply on there.
Not actually heard of these brokers myself but some have never heard of some of the brokers I have had over the years who have mis sold PPI to us.
When did you actually take out this loan ?
I will need to check if they were covered by the FSA or maybe Gisc, in order to know if this complaint can be dealt with the fos if the company denies mis-selling this.
Otherwise there is the court action option. (small claims court), someone else maybe able to advise you on the court side of things if it comes to it but anyway, if you believe you have been mis-sold for example:
You may not have been eligible.
They did not explain the costs of this and the added interest that you would be paying over the loan term.
If your loan then for instance was for over 25 years and they sold you PPI, mainly these only cover for 5 years, but you will still be paying the amount for the rest of the term of the loan.
There are lots more reasons for complaint.
It doesn't matter if the loan is still active or not.
There is a template in the library index you can use to complain. If your unable to find it, let us know.
Don't let them fob you off, most of us receive the standard fob off letters from these companies, but keep going until they give you their final response.
If you can post on here the year I will check to see if they were covered in case this has to go to a further stage.
