Freezing account - can i still claim the charges back
Hi, i've got into some difficulty with A&L recently. Basically i had a load of charges applied to my account and as i didnt regulaly use the account i didnt find out until it exceeded £100. I payed up enough yo cover all the charges straight away but a few weeks later some delayed charges were applied and this inturn put me over myoverdraft limit. I couldnt pay at that time so £5 a day i added up to a lot of dept. I finally payed it off but soon after i had more charges applied and again took me over the limit. I'm now stuck as i have other bills to pay and i just cant afford to pay any more charges.
I spoke to the bank and apparently i can freeze the account and work out a payment plan. Would this mean i couldnt claim the charges back if i do this? Would i still have to have an active account?
