Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I recently sent my credit card company a CCA request, they responded with a letter saying that:
""At present we are unable to locate a copy of the original signed agreement. Under the consumer credit legislation however, a copy of the agreement can either be a copy of the original signed agreement or, in the case of an agreement containing a variation clause which has been exercised (as in the case of this card agreement), a copy of the current terms and conditions of the agreement as varied. We therefore enclose:
-A copy of the current terms in compliance with the consumer credit legislation.
-A copy of the original terms
-A copy of the most recent notice of variation.
-A signed statement of account
However all there is in the envelope if a bundle of photocopies none of which have my signiture on, in fact they are all either pages of information or forms that have not even been filled in at all never mind a signiture.
Please can someone translate this form me, what is my situation?

no cca- no debt
what they have sent you is legit under your cca, they can send you a like copy, but cant enforce.
i had a ding dong battle with HBOS over 12 months over this. the resault was a court claim and they settled before trial.
resault was that they ceased all collection matters and default removed,
with out an agreement signed by you they are suffed and they know it
