Hi All,
Just after a bit of advise, this morning i received a couple of letters from a Debt Recovery company chasing outstanding council tax. After speaking to them about this they say that it is for years 1994/1995 and 1995/96. I have never heard a thing from the council chasing this debt and to be honest unaware that i actually owed this.
What i am wondering is is the Statue barred act correct against the likes of the Council as it is way over 6 years old and are the Debt recovery people just chancers in the hope that i will pay up without question?
As i said i have not previously heard anything from the council in the last 12-14 years about this and still in the same address so not as if they would need to look hard to find me.
Any help would be great
Thanks
