    Default Cancallation charge on breakdown cover

    I canceled my Breakdown Covericon with Direct Line after having paid 8 mths direct debits. They have now sent a bill for the remaining 4mths. It is onyl for £50 but was wondering if they can do this. No rebate was given and within the period we had one home start call out.

    you need to look at their terms and conditionsicon, I expect you find something that allows a cancellation fee.

    Welcome to the site.Its normally a feature of the terms and conditionsicon that early cancellation will incur payment of the remainder of the term.Have you had any good reasons to cancel ie-they did not honour any of their terms to you ?

    Hi, many thanks for the advise, only reason for canceling was that I found cover that was 120 cheaper. I will write to Direct Line and see if this will offer a rebate.
