Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I forgot to ask here on my last post, has the update of this been in the media ?
Maybe claimants should check this out with the fos to have this confirmed, especially if they have complaints ongoing with these.;-)
Thanks.
Were you informed by FP ? Or was it word of mouth ? I have two claims with the fos regard first plus and I searched the media yesterday and could find no reference to it.
I was informed by the fos as they have upheld my complaint but it will not be dealt with until both parties resolve whatever it is that is causing the delay.
So do you think this may be an individual issue or a full dispute overall between the fos and FP ?
Even though one of mine was with another firm last year, my complaint was upheld yet it was similar feedback I was receiving, but I assumed it was because my case was quite a complex case, not sure .
So it maybe worthwhile then if others are in the same position regarding FP is to contact the FOS and see what they say to them maybe ?

If I was in your position hun, I'd be pushing the FOS for answers as to why this is affecting your claim
Have you even established whether this is soley to do with your individual claim or whether it's a bigger picture dispute that will affect all claims of this nature with peeps that are in this same situation as yourself???
I'm sure we would all be very greatful here - if you could push the FOS for answers on this Please;-) and enlighten us all here as we are all a little worried now especially after the announcement of them shutting their doors on further loans and making redundancies Cos the way I see it.. the earlier we all know what's going on the quicker we can all be active in finding out where we all stand and our next step forward cos as they say.. 'Knowledge is power' and we can't afford for time to stand still on this just to be told "go take a run and jump for your money"
Thanks!!
Look forward to hearing back from you johnnyjohn8)
My information has been given to me by the fos. They could not elaborate any further, I assume because the case is delicate. The reasoning, as I stated earlier, was because a specific case is being questioned by FP which, until this is ruled upon, will hold up other cases. Whether it is every case or claims against mis-selling of single premium policy I do not know.
May I just say that in the 7 months or so of dealing with the FOS I have found them both helpful and polite and sympathetic to the many calls I make.
If there is somebody that can shed some light I would be most grateful as I have a LOT of money riding on this.....

Could this be First Plus stopping trading on further loans and playing more delaying tactics.

I fully agree with the above. They are taking time but they have a lot of greedy financial institutions to deal with.
After much too-ing and fro-ing, I have spoken direct with FP and they have now responded to the fos after the ruling was upheld against them. I am assuming, based on the tone of the conversation with them that this has been settled. However, I am waiting to hear the response as the lady at the FOS who is dealing directly with the case is on holiday!!
I pleaded my situation with FP on the grounds that the monies owed would clear arrears on other Barclays products that have built up over the past year due to redundancy. I have to say that the person who dealt with this for me at FP was very helpful and supportive and seemed to sympathise with me!!!
I am not sure if this still means that FP have cleared their issues with the FOS, however, having converstaions direct with FP has clearly helped me on an individual basis.
