The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi! I having previously claimed against Cap1 and Egg (and having got them out of my life!) I now feel the need to turn my attention to Barclaycard (after this I will never ever have another credit card ever again!).
I know the ropes in terms of the claims process and the main arguments, but I just need to know how Barclaycard operate, i.e. how far will I have to take the claim before they pay up?
If you're just claiming your 6 years charges back, you should get them refunded in full without even filing your claim at court.
If you want full interest back on top, they will take it right to the wire and only settle just before a full hearing. So you'll need to use an Advanced Spreadsheet and know exactly what you're doing. You'll have to prepare 3 copies of your Court Bundle to back up your claim, File and Serve them to court and to BC and then be prepared for hard negotiating.
The choice is yours and, if you want to go for full interest, you must claim it from the Prelim Letter onwards.
For the simple claim, just do your SOC (leaving off the s.69 Int't) and send it off with your Prelim Letter.
