Default Reclaiming PPI when no CCA has been provided.

I CCA's Bank of Scotlandicon Credit Card and got an application form back, and when I looked it shows I signed up for PPIicon. Now they haven't sent a fully executed CCA back as of yet, so can I claim back what was paid in PPI, and can anyone suggest a letter that I could send to do this?

    Hi there

I would definately try to reclaim back the PPIicon on this, especially as you were unaware you had this.
    Go for it.

This is a similar situation as mine and my O/H's, and we used the normal ppi mis selling template. (just different bank).

There should be one on site here, if you cannot find it, post up and let us know, someone will get back to you.

    I wish you luck.

If you have no success, do not give up because most first responses are that of them denying mis selling as a standard response.
I know you can write to them again until they state its their final response, and then they should add a financial Ombudsmanicon service leaflet.
Get the first letter done with first, then take it from there.

Keep us posted here, and someone will guide you to the next step.

Oh and if you've not got all the paperwork for this it may be worth requesting a SARicon (Subject access requesticon), there is a template letter on here for that too and it will cost £10, send by recorded post so you can be sure they receive this, as they will have 40 days deadline to provide the SAR from on the day they receive the request.

I have sent an SARicon off in July. The PPIicon should be included on that right? Thanks for the help.

    Hi there.

Thats good and yes the PPI should be included in that with the amounts, and interesticon paid etc.

Good luck, go get em, its your money they have deprived you of, so get it back in your pocket where it belongs.

If all they can provide is an application form, with no cost of PPIicon on it then they are stuffed in my opinion write back to them and state that you require a credit agreement with the prescibed terms on it which includes the true cost of PPI and also that on the application form it does not give you option to "opt out" of PPI. as it should do.

What they have sent you is about as good a peice of used toilet paper.

    more info .....

My B/card statements have come through and I have 3 narratives on charges: (total about 1k's worth!)

    1) Payment Protection Plan
    2) Barclaycard, Card Protection
    3) Accident Death Cvr

+ of course 'Late Payment Charge' ... which i know is reclaimable

So are the listed 3 reclaimable and should i send a separate letter for each of the 3 or lump them in 1 claim?

No the first 3 are just PPIicon send one letter for all 3, the late payment charges are seperate and should be sent seperately.

    Hi there Berrylover.;-)

I know the 40 days are not up yet hun, just wondered if they have been quick enough in supplying this for you ?

One of my SARicon's was sent to me within a week - I was really surprised, yet Lloydsicon TSB was that of 40 days....... on the deadline........

Good luck anyway and post up when you receive this, cheers.

You may be surprised with what you receive in the docs, I was which has been a big help for my reclaiming, good luck.

If you do not know what to look for when you receive this then just post up then someone will get back to you to advise you.

    All the best.
