Default Confusing or incorrect PCN wording

    Any advice very welcome.

I was in a hurry, the M/bike bay was full, so I parked next to the end bike, who was within the double lines marking the end of the m/bike bay, and I was just about on the double lines and over lapping into a taxi parking area - none there at the time. I knew I stood the chance of getting a ticket which I did and was about to pay when I noticed the offence as "parking in a restricted street during prescribed hours". I am guessing that technically the street was not restricted as there were occupied bays for cars and bikes, I had just parked out side the M/cycle retaining white lines.

Am I trying my luck or is the pcnicon incorrectly made out and if that is the case, do I have a right to appeal? What exactly is meant by Restricted Street?

    Maybe it should have been

24 Not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space

    For on street parking or,

45 Parked on a taxi rank

Can you scan the ticket in minus the personal stuff so we can check for other mistakes.

Me thinks your ticket may wrongly describe the contravention, hang about here as there will be more info
    on the way.

I was parked just to the left of the TA of Taxis. The only other sign in the area was one referring to payment of car parking bays.

You got a ticket for being parked on DYLs. The "Restricted" bit refers to the restrictions in the TRO/TMO. You have a statutory right to challenge if you feel that the TRO/TMO was invalid (among other reasons).

However, you may also have a chance of appeal because there is no t-bar at the end of the dyl. Technically the dyl should continue to the white markings of the m/c bay but it does not, it terminates at the yellow markings of the taxi bay. But beware, this may be regarded as de minimis.

You were in the bay, however the stand is slightly over. To me this isnt in a restricted street. you were slightly by a cople of inches outside of the bay. I would challenge this.

Nero, sorry I mislead you. I was actually parked next to the one with the stand in the taxt area, just about in the TA of the TAXIS.
Can you see anything in the pcnicon wording that might hiccup?

Nero, the photo does not show the M/C at the time the pcnicon was issued. The OP has described where the M/C was and the description puts it in the taxi rank.

BTW it is a restricted street if the traffic order is valid. The bay marks an exemption from the restrictions.

Ok, you were in a taxi rank. Berni isnt this parked in a taxi rank or would that be for off street parking?
