Thread: Can I do an SAR for a closed account (c/c)?

Hello!

I've just been leafing through my old statements (as you do), and I found details of an RBS Advanta credit card that I had completely forgotten I even had.

It was paid off in full and closed in May '03, but having looked at the 6 months worth of statements I found, there's a quite a few charges at £20 a pop.

Can I still send them an S.A.R - (Subject access request) even though the account has been closed for a few years? If so, how do I go about it? Would I just follow the standard instructions I've seen in various threads, or would I need to do something else?
