Default Naturally Close - can I claim

    Hi

I was wondering if somebody can help me. Recently I took a close look at my Naturally Close statement and realised I was being charged for a Peace of Mind Plan. I checked my previous statements (I only have the last 6 months) and it's on all of them. I emailed Naturally Close to see what the charge was and asked for refund as I don't believe I'd agreed to it. At the weekend I got a response saying that I'd opened my account in April 2004 and during a telephone callicon in October 2004 I'd agreed to this. I do not believe this for one minute as I've had calls form many catalogues and always refuse. the letter then goes onto say that they've included a copy of the script that would have been used and that I had agreed to this and also that as this charge has appeared on 49 of my statements I should have noticed this (I agree I should have but I admit I don't check that closely). The letter ends with a paragrah that states this is their final response to this matter and that I culd go to the fosicon however they probably won't be able to assist me as the sale occurred before they took over jurisdiction for this type of insurance in January 2005.

Does anybody know if there is anything I can do about this? I've been paying approx £10-£15 per month for 49 months and I can't believe they can just do this without me having to sign anything.

    Thanks in advance

    Teapotty.

    Hi
I suppose you could start with an SARicon, after that you will have some evidence to use to reclaim charges.

Advice is based on my personal opinion, and what I have learnt from this forum.
