Hi all! I am new to this so please be gentle. I would like some advice. I put a claim in to my bank (alliance & leicester) last year. They wrote back to say my claim was put on hold until the test case had gone to court.
I recently heard that if you are on a low income there is a clause that your case can be dealt with now. As I am getting income support I wrote to my bank asking them to deal with my claim as i have a low income. They sent me a income and expenditure form, which I filled in and returned to them. I recieved a letter from my bank last week saying that they have thoroughly investigated my request and are satisfied that the fees that have been raised on my account are correct in accordance with there charging policy. But because of my personal circumstances they have agreed to refund £120.00 in regard to fees. The amount has been credited to my account. They then go on to say that they hope this matter is now resolved. They have given me 8 weeks to respond if they dont hear from me they will consider the matter closed.
Obviously I am not happy with this as they have charged me almost £3500 other the last 6 years. So if any one knows what I should do next I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks:-?
