Question Single parent on income support and dla advice needed

Just a quicky I think. I may have asked this previously but my memories playing me up

I am single parent on dla and income support and my son is exstatic, aaah bless, hes been offered his own paper round one day a week to deliver local paper. Hes only just become old enough to be able to have a round. Especially with it being summer holls and he wants to save a bit for and xbox because he wont get one from me

Ive been told he will for delivering a load of papers just on one road once a week and be getting about 11.00 a week, hes happy and if hes asked to do leaflets at same time he gets another 2-3pound depending on amount I believe.

Hes going to open his own account and learn to manage his money, but obviously I rely on the DWP and wonder do I need to tell them for him earning this amount, or is there a set level. Want to do everything correctly.

    Advice appreciated

Just an update. Contacted local office, dont know why felt so guilty when stating son will be bringing in a little and can he keep it, but thats just me:o, and they were lovely. Told me its okay for him to do the round and I dont need to declare it as hes only 13. Was clear he'll only be getting roughly about 15.00 at most and they were fine about it. Off to open up his own account soon and hallway full of newspapers,at least I'll know mine will come on time now
