    Default Egg credit card claim

Ok I'm new on here , and need a little help . I've got as far as getting my statement off Eggicon , I then sent a request for what they owed me including Contractual , compounded interesticon. I've had a fob off letter back , what now? A 7 day notice of legal action? and am i right to add interest compounded. Also I dont seem to be able to find a suitable letter before actionicon for credit cards?

Your fob-off letter is an Eggicon template generated by computer and rolling off the assembly line, not aimed at yourself.

Best not to mention the phrase "Contractual interesticon" as it was defeated in High Court and not something for the unprepared layman. If debit interest was demonstrably levied on your unlawful charges and compounded monthly, then reclaiming same along with unlawful charges does not require complex justification. If in any month a cardholder had balance zero (penalty charges already paid off), then debit interest would not have been levied, so for that and subsequent months no "demonstrable interest" would be reclaimable.

Recent experience shows that where your computation is inaccurate, Egg would obligingly supply their own computation any way. Egg management no longer have the appetite to resist and stall on charges reclaim. Many claimants did not even ask for interest, but Egg volunteered to add on 8% Statutory Interest.

Egg's final defence argument is based on their "Genuine Pre-estimates" as presented to the OFT in 2006 to justify their £16 charge. When this "Pre-estimates" Egg template letter in a series of 3(?) is received by the cardholder, the CAGicon template letter will refute same head-on. If Egg refuses to accept this refutation they will have to expensively (£1,000-per-day barrister) and riskily meet you in Small Claims Court -- an eventuality plainly ruled out by Egg management.

One way or another, faster or slower, you will be paid. Egg is not averse to paying up after an exchange of letters in plain English (bearing in mind it is now peak holidayicon season), but you have the option to back it up with standard N1 legal process. Good luck.
