Thread: Stanstead Set Down - Parking Ticket!

Grrrrrr.....

Yesterday I took my neighbour to Stanstead to catch a flight to Knock .... he is a 73 year old man who is not too clever on his feet and uses a stick.

We pulled up right out side the entrance of the main departure lounge and adjacent to the pedestrian crossing that was available to cross the 'bus lane' in between us and the terminal building.

I helped him out of the car, got his small case and assisted him over the road and into the building and sat him down on the seats that are available just inside the main doors ..... I then returned to the vehicle to put it in the short term car park so I could return and sort out his 'check in' and make sure that he gets away okay only to find a TW just putting a hand written ticket under the wiper blade .....

I kid you not, I was away from the car not more than 3 or 4 minutes and the blue badge was showing clearly.

After trying to appeal to her (the TW) she argued that she had observed the vehicle for 10 minutes before she made out the ticket ..... this is a complete fabrication ...

Is there anything I can do, other than just pay it ..... it's a 30 quid ticket.
