Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi
Can anyone advise please? I have read a lot of the advice on the forum but just want to check that I am right in what I am thinking!
My friend recieved a 'parking charge Notice' from PARKING EYE, she parked on Aldi supermarket car park which although free has a maximum stay of 1 1/2 hours which she over ran by half and hour. They are demanding that she pays £70.00 or £40.00 if paid by 17/07/08, their threat on the reverse is that they 'may' issue legal procedings in the county court.
I have told her not to pay and to tell them to prove that she was the driver at the time of the alleged offence (they say they have CCTV footage) The pcn doesnt have her make or colour of car on just the registration no. and there was no notice on her car on the day, the notice arrived through the post.
Am I doing the right thing by telling her not to pay? PLease advise?

yes do not pay.
also do NOT make initial contact with them in any form. just wait for the usual phoney DCA letter and use the standard reply. then ignore them.
• do not pay
• do not contact them
• ignore any letters your receive, no matter how threatening
• they will go away after 5 or 6 letters
• ignore lies about CCJs or court costs in the letters. They are fabrications designed to scare you into coughing up.
