    Hi Everyone,

Has anyone got a PPIicon cancellation letter template. I'm stuck. Lost my old template.

    Thanks.

I'll dig mine out when I get home in a couple of hours and post it up for you ... unless someone else gets there sooner.

There doesn't seem to be a standard template for cancellation. Kerry, I will assume that you have a monthly premium payment and that you have your terms and conditionsicon for the PPIicon element of whatever it is (loan?).

If you don't have the T&Cs, I would suggest that you write and ask for them, so that you can find out whether you are entitled to a refund and how much that would be.

If you do have them, you can write as below:

    Dear X

    Re: XXXXXX

I have loan (or whatever) with your company which started on (insert date). The loan (or whatver) includes payment protection insurance (PPI) of £ XXX (total amount) which, according to my loan (whatever) agreement “is not compulsory” and which I therefore reserve the right to cancel at any time.

I would like to cancel this PPI with immediate effect. According to the terms and conditionsicon of my loan (whatever), a copy of which is attached, I am entitled to (please insert as appropriate and according to your T&Cs).

Please confirm in writing that this has been done.

    Yours sincerely

Don't forget to send your letter by first class recorded delivery and give them sufficient time to process your request.

HTH (as a starting point) and keep us posted.
