Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My daughter started an account with Addition via the internet. She pays £10 per month off a £150 credit limit. The bill is broken down into four stages:
Use of a paypoint = £0.50 interest = £2.57
Account cover Plus Protects Payments and Purchases = £2.43
the rest is taken off her balance.
So out of her £10 payment only £4.50 is coming off her bill.
I told her she was paying PPI so she phoned them and they said she agreed to purchase the PPI. I have told her if she did not sign anything she should not have to pay.
I have told her to send an SAR and then reclaim the PPI.
They didn't even give her the fourteen days option to change her mind.
Is the advice I have given her right?
Can she reclaim the PPI and claim a mis-sold PPI?
Hi Im in the same situation and just in the process of sending a SAR to Barclays. From the advise ive got from others I believe we are both in a position to reclaim but im sure others will advise you aswell. ( Ive been paying £16 PPI a month since 2004!) The SAR is the best place to start... Do you have the SAR template?

They may say the internet agreement does not require a signature for you to agree to the CCA terms.
I would wait until you get the result of the S.A.R - (Subject access request) check all the details on the CCA and all associated paperwork to see if there is a valid case to claim mis-selling.
My daughter got her S.A.R - (Subject access request) answered from Additions and they have charged PPI at at rate of £2.99 per month and applied interest at a rate of £2.99 per month also. Does anyone have the request for repayment of PPI template please?
Thanks
