    Outrageous and illegal.
The article is rubbish as well,

"It is currently legal for a company to put up warning signs on private land and then clamp anyone who parks there. The clamper does not need to own the land and in many cases the landowner may not know clamping is being carried out.

It is illegal for a driver to try to remove the clamp."

    what claptrap.

this should go to court - clampers and landowner.

    and the reporter needs educating

Unbelievable these idiots really do think they are cops. No doubt they'll end up in court being told by a judge that they are idiots.

Personally I would call the police & tell them I was being threatened & that they where trying to extort money by deception by claiming they can 'fine' people

The authorities really have to take a grip of these people

I am [edit]bleep king outraged. How dare those [edit] merchant bankers "fine" somebody for giving them their correct adjectives.

£100 quid for swearing - it worse than having Gagbot editing your posts. (or the mods)

Drivel like this is one of the reasons I wrote the clamping guide.

Yes a lawyer of my acquaintance has already written to one of the papers which published the c*rap about it being lawful to clamp on private property without consent etc & suggested they should have consulted their legal department before printing such drivel
