Hi
A quick question a friend ordered a Vergin Media telephone and internet package last night (Wednesday 2nd June) by telephone, a connection fee £30.00 was paid via debit card .
Due to unforseen circumstance a landlord problem they need to cancel.
No problem the operator has promised to cancel the agreement and refund the charge £30.00 back to the debit card.
IMHO I've told them to write, and advise about the cancellation, can any one suggest a letter, and also are distance selling, and cooling off regualtions applicable here.
DSR's apply when signing up to telephone services, I'm 100% sure of this. VM's website says that you have to phone in to cancel and there is a "cooling off period" of 7 days. I'd personally also write just to be safe.
