    Default Welcome Finance Nightmares

    Hi all
    I have been trying to obtain account info from Welcome Finance for some months now, this is in order to make a PPIicon claim. I have posted on here before about the problems i have had but dont know how to link back to it.
    Anyway i have been trying to get hold of a copy of the original CCA (had sevreal loans over the years) and have only recently recieved it. I sent a S.A.R - (Subject access requesticon) in October last year and recieved nothing, the most recent one sent in March this year generated a bundle of papers which in part were of use but the vital info i.e original CCA was not present. I wrote twice to request this info and have only just recieved it. The original CCA shows the total amount of PPI charged but i don't have any statements showing the payments i have made becaue they have only sent statement relating to the most recent loan! I feel like i am banging my head against a brick wall!
    Also the statement that they have sent i just dont understand because its jargon and i just dont know where to start. Can anyone help me with this?
    Even if they send me the right one i wont be able to translate it into a figure to reclaim! I'm so stressed out with all this as they spent 6 months hassling me for payment and now they wont provide the info that could resolve the situation.
    Please Help

    Send them a lbaicon for non-compliance of the SARicon - if they don't produce the info, hit them with a claim through the small claims court.

    i have had this lot in court and know exactly how they do the runaround with there customers
    you need in my opinion send another SARicon
    this time send it to there compliance department

    send it special delievery as correspondents have a habit of getting lost with this lot.

    dealing with welcome is not easy as they put up barriers and stalling tacticts.

    To be honest, they've had two SARicon's - I would disagree with sending them another one, but send them this instead:

    I would agree on the address postggj (but not about being usually right).

    I just think OP has given them enough chances to comply and as they are playing silly buggars, they should be made to realise the OP is being serious.

    Thank to you all for the swift replies. I have been dealing with compliance services for some time now and i either rightly or wrongly had assumed that when you send the SARicon it covers your entire account history, whether they have only sent the latest info on purpose i dont know but it seems that this is whats happened. It puzzles me because the 'computer notes' print out dates from 2003 when the very first loan was taken out, but any letters or statements commence in 2006. I will send the template letter 2 and see what i get.
    I cant hit them with a claim because without the requested info i dont have a figure to cliam

    It should cover the last 6 yearsicon, or less if the loan was taken out within that time.

    Yes thats what i thought. I have just re-read the SARicon letter (template from this site) that i sent and it does indeed state 'entire account history'. Do you know of anyone who could help with explaining all the jargon of the statements?

    I would probably be able to supply some information on the statements but I cannot be certain it would be the same jargon my bank uses.

    The SAR should cover everything the organisation has on record in any data form on you as the subject i.e paper, electronic. cd. tape, floppy disk, microfische, or any other format you can think of. The limitation is debatable as the money laundering act states documents have to be retained for five years after the last transaction on the account...see this link.

    But the Financial Ombudsman Service will actually look at claims up to six years and perhaps longer depending upon the case.

    I have claims going back to 1997 to present and hopefully the fosicon will see the links between Direct Line Financial Services loans and Royal Bank of Scotlandicon loans as linked as they are all the same RBS Group of companies.
