Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have sent the letter template to my local MP as a first instance to see if here response is in support or opposed to the Banks excessive charging structures. I just wondered if anyone else has chosen this route as an action and ifso, what was the general response from our parliament representatives.
The bank charges that I have had over the last six years hasn't actually been that much and not at all in the last 12 months, but its the principal that when you have money banks love you and cant do enough to help but when you really need them, they tend to just kick you while your down.
I've done the same - purely to bring to their attention rather than as part of the recovery process - and was disappointed in the response I got. It was suggested that charges could be helpful reminders to keep consumer debt under control...! He did however promise to pass on my concerns to Alistair Darling.
