Thread: statment of witness HO/RT 2

this is the form i have been given after showing my documents at a police station after being issued with a producer.

it says offences commited 'no mot' 'no insurance'

i havnt heard anything for over a month and a half... how long they got to do me from the date i was issued this?

Not 100 % sure about this , but me thinks you are about to be prosecuted for driving without insurance or mot.

Not sure about time limits on this either however, if you are indeed guilty then a summons will arrive in due course.

they normally like to expedite no insurance cases.
no insurance is an "absolute offense" - intent or thinking you were insured is irrelevant.

6 months from date of offence to lay an information, the summons can be later than that.

if you miss the summons and court appearance you will be convicted in your absence. when you return to country you could find a unpleasant surprise waiting for you...
