Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Can anyone help or advise me, got a £3,000 loan 4 years ago and still got 4 years to pay on it! They just advised me that £12 of my monthly payments have been going to Norwich Union for PPI! Still got £1,900 to pay on the loan! I didnt even know I had anything to do with Norwich Union! I phoned the complaints at Abbey and they have logged the complaint and said they will get back to me.
What should I do or what should I NOT do? I have had no statement or paperwork to Breakdown what I have paid in interest, ppi, repayment etc so I have no idea on interest paid etc.....
:o
You will need to send a SAR letter along with £10.00 reqeusting copies of the original agreement, statements, details of any insurance contracts. They have 40 days to reply. Once you have that information you can see how much you have paid in PPI.
If you did not agree to the PPI in the first instance then you may well have a claim for mis-selling. Check out some of the threads in the PPI fourm.

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition, they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to have happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI Insurance has been sorted. Now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

I have just recieved a questionaire from Abbey. should I fill it in or just request SAR. the questionaire is full of stuff that they should already know if they asked me the correct questions when they gave me the loan. ??
I agree with BB, that form could be a way of updating their records with information they should have had before you had the loan. Just send the S.A.R. letter and £10.00

sorry about the above post, it was a bit rushed, my son was annoying me..
IMHO definatly do the SAR first...it is very important that you get all documents relating to the loans and PPI before you do anything else, and do not send the Questionaire back to them as they may try to use some of the information supply against you at a later date.
