How easy has it been claiming from these? I have about 100 pounds worth of charges and was wondering if it had been going to the wire for these to pay out?

For info Slick, my current Barclaycard claim seems to be going to the wire. They've made 2 inadequate offers but I'm insisting on full payment particularly as I'm claiming just 8% pa interest not CI, so looks as though I'll be issuing N1 in the next few weeks.

Without seeing how your claim has run so far, I'm partly guessing. However, simple claims have been settled more easily lately. They offer to repay the difference between what was charged and the (OFT approved) £12 new charge. Then they offer to pay in full as a goodwill gesture. If you're lucky the stick a flat 8% on top.
Re your case, you can't INSIST on 8% s.69 interest. If they offer to repay your charges in full, you have no basis on which to File your claim at court. The 8% can only be added to your claim when you File at court.

Thanks Slick for clarifying. I was aware of the rules on interest. They have offered what they think is a full repayment + flat 8% but have miscalculated so in fact it's not. Before you ask, yes, I have double checked my figures!
I haven't put a thread up on this so far as I thought it was going to be simple - will post in BC if/when I get stuck or success to report.
Thanks for the input Slick.
Apologies to Jamesworth for hijacking his thread - promise this is the last.
