Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi everyone, I'm another one who's going to try to get my bank charges back.. I've been getting them for years and not realised I could do anything about it. Anyways wish me luck.
Does anyone know if you can do this with more than one account and more than one bank or is that just a stupid question?
There are no stupid questions. Well, there ARE, but we keep them in a locked secret box where they can't get out.
Yes, you can claim for all "default" charges against any and all banks, credit card providers, store card providers...
In fact you can claim for any charge when you're in breach of contract, made by anyone you have a contract with, which you feel exceeds their loss as a result of your breach of contract. So to use my old analogy - if you agree to dig a hold for someone for £40 and you dig it wrongly, and they get fined £20 as a result, all they can charge you for your breach of contract is £60 - the original price and "their losses" of a £20 fine. They CANNOT charge you an extra PENNY "for their trouble". THAT is what the banks are doing!
First thing to do is to set out a timetable for your total activity; which organisation you're "doing" and when. I would leave about 7 days minimum between starting each one. (You can do the Data Protection bit for all of them at once; I'm talking about splitting up the actual "Claiming" part). Then, as you start each one, begin a new thread in the forum dedicated to that organisation, and keep a diary of your progress along with any panics questions and woes, in that one thread.
Any trouble? Post in here, the Welcome area and ask - we'll help you out!
