01 Parked iin a restricted street during prescribed hours
Hi,
I am after a little bit of advise please.
I have had a pcn from Dacorum Borough Council for parking on Park Lane(Which looks like its been filled in correctly) and it is for parking in a restricted street during precribed hours.
being completley baffled by the reason I've asked for further details surrounding the nature of the offense.
The council state that yellow lines prohibit parking 24 hours a day unless there are signs that specifically indicate otherwise, they state the restriction extends from the crown of the road to the edge of the adjoining premieses / boundaries and includes footpaths.
I have parked where I was MANY times and this is the first time I have had a ticket, I was also the only car along the stretch who had a ticket - even the car next to me. Basically my front end was in a disused carpark gate and the backend of my car is on the pavement.
Does the contravention still apply here? photo's can be uploaded if this helps.

What the Council has told you is basically correct, the DYL are 24/7 and also cover the footway. The reason the other cars did not get ticketed is because they are not adjacent to the DYL.
