Thread: ppi help urgently needed!!

Hi all, Would like to ask if i took PPI out in 2003 would i still be able to claim? Good old DAFS said they were not under guidance then from the fsa! so my question do i give up at first hurdle? many thanks

YES (the fos may consider your case but you would have to phone them first) If they will not consider your claim for mis-selling then you would have to go down the route of claiming in Court Good old DAFS said they were not under guidance then from the fsa! NO but they should have been regulated by someone so my question do i give up at first hurdle? I would suggest NO but it would depend on the size of your reclaim? to be weighed up against the potential cost of making the claim (Principles count a lot here) many thanks

firstly you need to post more information on why you believe you have a case to reclaim PPI. Do not post personal information such as account number, addresses, names etc.

Once you get into the swing others will pop into your thread and offer advice.

Thanks for your prompt reply...OK where do i begin? When i bought the car from YES finance I was told just like everyone else on this board that if i had not taken out the PPI i would not get the car!!! They didnt quite say it that blunt but in salesmans jargon I COULDNT HAVE CAR UNLESS I TOOK OUT THE EXTORTINATE PPI...and like a young naive fool i took it and was so chuffed to be driving this over inflated car!!!!!!
I paid the full ammount of money back but now older and wiser i made a terrible mistake and would like to recoup some of my money !!! I have sent an initial letter to have quite a snooty reply to say i dont have a case because they were not being regulated at this date....OK so now i know its time to move on but i know that i have paid thousands of pounds so i feel the need to fight back and like millions of you need to get my voice heard and hopefully get some sort of positive reaction...Please now can i enrol your help whats my next step???? thanks in advance

If you were told that by the salesman when you bought the car then you should have a claim. Have a good read here first:
