I hope you will be able to help me. I took out a loan with welcome finance last month and also took the PPI insurance and I just thought I would cancel it if I didn't like the look of it. Well I wrote off to them last week to cancel it within my 30 day cancellation period and today someone rang me up to tell me I had to go into their local office to sign some new paperwork as they needed to re-issue the loan documents without the PPI on them.
I am a little concerned that they want me to go in to the office to do this and then I looked over my agreement and insurance documents etc and started to think that as they have already loaned me the money for the insurance, which I am now cancelling, does that mean that the insurance company should give the money back to me rather than to them. This occured to me as I remember paying off a loan early some years ago and receiving a refund on part of the cost of the insurance.
If anyone has any idea what they are up to please let me know asap as I say they want me to go down there this afternoon.
